Home Worship 7/19

In speaking with you, it seems that most of the people still staying home have their own favorite sources for sermons, which I think is great. Even when you're coming to church weekly, I think it's not a bad idea to listen to other sermons during the week as devotional material. But since most of you have been so diligent in this, I don't see a need to prioritize posting our own services. I'm not posting others people's sermons ONLY because I am lazy. I want to encourage you to enjoy the rich variety of good preaching that is out there on the web. We will eventually record our services and post them online, but that is a few weeks away. If I sensed a great need, I would put it higher on my priority list and get it done faster, so let me know if that would help you at this time.

That being said, if you are interested in some sort of Zoom meeting on Sunday between services, please contact me and tell me, because I could look into that if there is enough interest. Thanks!

GOD'S WORD AND SONG
This week in live church we are celebrating Easter. If you're staying home, I recommend these service options to you.

You could watch this service from a church I used to attend in Madison, WI:

You could also watch the service from The Vine, which is following his current sermon series:

You could watch this service from Cross of Christ, Boise, which is on the same readings we will look at in church today.

God bless your home worship!

At this time you may write a check and mail it church, as described on this page, which also tells you how to set up online giving. Thank you to all those who have kept giving!

CONNECTION CARD SUBSTITUTE
Call a friend, pray for your brothers and sisters at church, like a post on our Facebook page, or come up with some other creative way to connect to your church family this week. Give me a call and let me know how you're doing.

PRAYERS
  • Chuck and Jean Johnson. Chuck is in rehab but not able to see Jean or anyone.
  • Lovice Thaemert as she is in the hospital for some problems they are still diagnosing.
  • Bless Louise's recovery from dental implant surgery.
  • I suggest ending with the Lord's prayer. Pause and reflect on the meaning of each line.

THE SACRAMENT
Please let me know if you desire a private communion service. I'm more than happy to conduct one for you at your home or at church. It's part of my job, please don't hesitate to ask if you would like the sacrament.
